My goal is to help families run a successful business while preserving family relationships.
Ninety percent of businesses in the United States are family owned. Managing both family and business can present unique and challenging situations. Through my experience, I have helped family businesses address: issues around fairness among family members in or outside of the business; addictions and other emotional issues that effect work performance; family members feeling entitled; how a family member’s spouse or divorce can effect the business; dynamics of managing family and non family employees and how this impacts morale; and the difficulty of the founding member letting go of control. Problems in these areas if not addressed can cause families to break apart or businesses to falter.
