Elder Care Consulting
Our aging population is creating unique and challenging times for individuals and families. Moreover, one often has their own competing needs when caring for an elder: raising children; work; marriage; divorce; or health issues.
Important decisions often need to be made regarding a loved one’s care. Family discord, lack of communication or disagreement, along with varying geographical locations can add to an already stressful situation. I help to look at options, and act as a bridge to help families arrive at the best possible care plan for their elderly family member.

Trusts and Estates Consulting
There is one thing that is certain in life, we and our loved ones will die someday. Estate planning can be difficult. It may involve planning for a special needs child, taking in to account divorce and step-children, managing needs of adult children in the midst of keeping things fair, these are some of the delicate issues that I have encountered. How someone plans their estate impacts family relationships and determines how one is remembered for generations to come.
As a licensed therapist, I am able to address the complex needs and relationships that exist in families and provide guidance while developing an estate plan. I also help families resolve inheritance and estate disputes once a loved one has passed. Whether pre or post mortem, talking with someone can help to clarify what is the best plan for your family.
Additionally, I work with a team of estate attorneys, licensed therapists and financial professionals to help families accomplish their goals and create a family legacy that preserves family relationships through the generations. As part of my work with Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley, I volunteer for The Santa Clara Probate Court in pretrial settlement conferences to help families avoid the stress and costs of trial. I have seen what can happen when families do not adequately prepare their estate plan.
